SPOUSAL ROTH IRA UP TO THE ALLOWED MAXIMUM ($3,000, $3,500 IF SHE'S OVER
50)

Contributions to an IRA account are based on EARNED income. Fortunately, a
nonworking spouse can use the wages of a working spouse to qualify to make
contributions to an IRA.

My wife does not work and has no income at all. Can she still open an IRA? I
will contribute into it from my checking acct.
