| I understand that there is a look back period of 3 years as to parent giving of their assets to their children. This as to whether medicaid well pay for an elderly person going into a nursing home. My parents have a $60,000 condo and 43,000 in a brokerage account and small checking account. My name has been on the brokerage account as ROS with my dads for some 5 years. I am on SSI and a good portion of this is mine as I am not able to have it in my own name. If my either one of my parents went into a nursing home would this money be taken before my parents could gualify for medicaid ?? Randy |
