An original AFL team is bearish, an original NFL team is bullish. The
New England Patriots were an original AFL team and were a correct
indicator in 2002. The Panthers were a post-merger expansion team, so
there would be no prediction if they won.

Interestingly, the Colts and Eagles were both original NFL teams so if
Sunday's games had come out differently, there could have been a
guaranteed bull prediction.

NFL team = bull indicator, of course! AFL means a bear is absolutely,
definitely, without a doubt on the horizon. ("What's the AFL?"
somebody is saying. Arena? Australian?)

Republican Congress, Republican President, usually bad for the market.
Dem/Dem, bad also, but not as bad. Congress/Pres not aligned, good for
market. Pres cycle? Too late, it was all in year 3 so we have to wait
another few years.

Hemline indicator says mini skirts = bull, long skirts = bear.
I.e..."Buy low, sell high!"

Skirts trumps football trumps pres - personal opinion (nothing to do
with finance).

Your results may vary.

Default Super Bowl Indicator

Would someone remind me of which team's victory would be bullish for
the stock market.

Also, as an indicator, would the Presidential Election Cycle have more
import? (For example, if the Super Bowl results point to a lower
market, but the Presidential Cycle points to a higher market, which is
likely to prevail?)
