Yes, someone pointed this out to me at another newsgroup a few weeks ago. First
Abbey National Bank or something like this? They're online. Let me know if you
want a web address (I'm feeling lazy).

IIRC the Brit who mentioned them wasn't sure about whether Americans and
non-Brits could get in on the action.

IIRC they may have an online option for foreigners. Could be completely wrong
about this, though.

Sorry, I'm clueless on this. All I know is overseas bonds are kinda high risk
and so outside my comfort zone, though I might consider them as a small part of
my (diversified) portfolio in the future. Also, Fidelity has an overseas bond
fund (or two) that might be of interest, but they unequivocally call them high
risk. But I am no expert. Just maybe above average when it comes to U.S. bonds.

How about calling Evertrade in Saint Louis, MO, at (888) 882-3837 and letting
the newsgroup know what they say?! :-)

Yeah I will check them out. Have u any thoughts about investing in
British bank deposit like term deposits? They seem to be quoting one
year CDs at over 4%! But it would NOT be convenient to have to go
there to open an account!
Can u recommend a particular euro denom bond, short term, with good
interest rate?

How to invest as in what brokers deal in them?

If so, Evertrade.com might be worth calling or emailing. It came up in a
discussion on foreign bonds at misc.invest.mutual-fund recently.
