i believe that y'all can send a certified letter to each of the credit
reporting agencies, one that they have ta sign for, showing proof from
whomever the debt was owed to, has received final payment and the debt
is discharged... though many creditors will bill ya fer interest fer one
more month after y'all paid that last installment, fer the billing date
doesn't include the interest up to that payment due date, or to the date
that they actually receive y'all's payment, thus it may not be 'till the
end of december 'till the debt is finally paid in full and discharged...

Maybe this is a stupid question, but here goes...

I've read that sometimes credit card companies (as well as some other
companies that report to the credit agencies) may not update their
entry on your credit report ASAP. So, for instance, they might update
it every 3 months or something.

I will have paid off all of my debt by November of this year. My
question is, how can I be certain that each of the creditors will
update their information in my credit report (at each of the big 3
credit agencies) to show that I have paid off all of my obligations?
